Blankets Off

The snow from our Snowmageddon that didn't happen is pretty much gone although some of it has managed to hang around for a few days. A few white patches remained today in shaded areas. Those will be taken care of in the next few days as we are supposed to be in the 50's and low 60's with scattered rain showers. This forecast would thrill me except for the part about the scattered showers. I was hoping for 50's and low 60's with sunshine.

Everybody had their blankets pulled today and of course they all rolled immediately. Anyone visiting today would have been asking if the horses ever got groomed because they sure didn't look like they did! Our pastures were full of hairy dirtballs but they definitely looked happy.

Hard to believe that 2010 is coming to an end soon. Maybe I'll come up with something witty and interesting to say between now and the end of the year. Probably not!

I don't know why I always smile when I see Sparky in his blanket... it just strikes me as amusing. He is so adorable. Do the World's Cutest Fainting Goats have blankets as well?

Amy the funny thing about Sparky and his blanket is how much he likes it. You can't do ANYTHING with Sparky if he is not a willing participant. If he sees you coming with his blanket he stands like a statue while you put it on.

The World's Cutest Fainting Goats currently do not have blankets. We've talked about it but Mina especially is so fat, between her fat and her rumen she would probably just fry under a blanket. But gosh they would look cute!!

That is a super cute pic of Harmony.

My dad finally stopped whining about how cold it is. He's exactly like you - miserable when it's below 50. ;)

Gus certainly looks content munching on his big pile of hay with his friend! Glad it has warmed up for you. We came to Florida to escape the cold for a few days in Boston but have been experiencing one of the coldest Christmas' on record...
