Thankfully progress resumed about two and a half weeks ago and construction work is happening again. Jason and I get a kick out of watching the horses as they watch the construction. The driveway has been busy lately with trucks and equipment coming and going. It reminds us of last fall when the big boys would watch Jason and my Dad as they hammered away inside the barn. We joke that the horses are like the retired guys sitting on the porch at the local store watching the traffic go by and relaying the current gossip.
These days Spike especially seems fascinated with all of the comings and goings. Speaking of Spike (more formally known as OverDrive), his birthday was today. Actually Spike was born in a leap year and was born on February 29th, so most years he celebrates his birthday on March 1st. Spike turned 16 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPIKE!! As always the treats flowed. And of course he asked for one treat for every year. We told him that although this is a nice place to live it isn't THAT nice. They always try though!

Look at all of the pretty new fence being built! Hopefully by the end of the week this will be done and we'll be ready to start another run-in shed. Oh, and lay more water lines, extend the driveway, etc. It never (!!!) ends.

Cuffie's looking like he's enjoying retirement - he doesn't look like a show pony anymore but that's just proof he's living the good life!
Cuffie is way too fuzzy right now to ever be mistaken for a show pony! Aaah, the good life!
