It is hard to believe that another year has passed. 2011 was an outstanding year for us in many ways. We completed a lot of building projects at the new farm including a few miles of fence, a couple more barns and several more water lines. Not to mention water lines, driveway and the myriad of other things that come along with new construction. Anyone who has followed this blog for any length of time is very familiar with our construction projects that did not always go as planned. I like to refer to these as marriage building exercises.
The net result of our many construction projects meant all of the horses were officially settled at the new farm as of September. Interestingly our final moving day with the horses came almost a year to the day after our first moving day. In 2011 we also welcomed several new residents. Nothing is more fun than a new horse in your life! We also brought Miracle home in March. Being a retirement farm we do experience the full circle of life and we also said goodbye to several residents during the year. Losing a friend is always hard, yet it comes with the territory.
Overall it is hard to imagine that 2012 could be a better year than 2011. However Jason and I have several big things in the works for 2012 so we are hopefully in for another fantastic year. Happy New Year to all of you, and thank you to each of you for helping us have a wonderful 2011!

The best to you and Jason and all the horses and other beasts in 2012!
With all those "marriage building exercises", you guys are really strong!
OK, not as pun-y as I thought.
Hopefully 2012 will be more enjoyment and less setbacks =)
Miracle looks fantastic!!!
