Having Fun

I've mentioned before about watching all of the horses just being horses and having a grand time. Today I managed to capture some of the antics on camera. These videos are of the group of geldings I refer to as the Big Boys. The Big Boys are all young, retired geldings that are very interactive and playful with each other. They love to play, graze, nap and occasionally go galloping around and around and around . . . ! Today was one of the galloping days. The footage isn't great as it was overcast and I had the zoom maxed at times, but you can get the general idea.

Must be fun to have such gorgeous horses retired on your farm. They all looked so beautiful and balanced cantering around the field. Nothing that looked too crazy or out of control

How cool. I could sit there watching that all day smiling. And that rolling in the same exact spot. I could have betted that the bay that was watching everyone else was going to do it too. And you got, is it Elfin?, doing his little roll and then like a dog, sitting and walking himself to roll on the other side. Hilarious. You posted about one doing that and I was pretty sure it was Elfin in that post, could be a different one in this post though. That was so funny to see him sitting there.

Jen, it is really neat to have such nice horses on our farm. Every horse here has looks, personality, talent . . . everything! It is awesome to watch so many nice horses all day long.

exra_pandora, I am impressed that you know which horse that was! It is Elfin that does the "dogwalk" thing when he rolls. When he's just sitting there he looks like a giant labrador just hanging out in the pasture! Ivan was the gray that rolled, and I thought Apollo was definitely going to, he even started to paw and make preparations, but then he got distracted.

Amy, Leo has a canter to die for. I'd love to sit on him just once and canter around and jump a couple of fences.
